We're getting rigged up to do some cattin' at CJ Brown later on and wondering if the lake is too muddy to try a little trolling for walleyes first. Anybody been out there lately? Thanks in advance.

I went to CJ this morning and tried catfishing on the upper end with no luck only one bite. I was using chicken liver but it usually works fine. The lake looked at least 1-2 foot high but not overly muddy. I did catch two catfish and 43 crappie back down in the lake but over all a really slow day. Good Luck

Thanks for the reply, BB
I was surprised at the water clarity considering the rains last week.

We had a tough time finding the shad. Did find channels though, in 2 1/2 to 3 feet of water up around the islands. No significant size.

Never did try for the walleyes.
