CJ Brown Report 7/7/04

Discussion in 'Southwest Ohio Fishing Reports' started by Crazy4Smallmouth, Jul 7, 2004.

  1. Put in around 8 am with very cloudy skys and about a 10 mph wind from the SW. Fished the roadbed all day and caught three walleye :D on a carolina rigged green/yellow floating jighead. The wind picked up as the day went on (white caps everywhere  ) and a 1/2 oz weight was needed to keep the bait on the bottom. Picked up several channel cat and blue gills as well with one whitebass.

Another guy at the ramp said that he picked up 4 walleye drifting crawler harnesses with bottom bouncers. One of his was a keeper that he released. His fish came in 15' of water.

    Crazy4,
Glad to hear you popped a few. Unfortunately that wind brought a pressure change that slowed things down for ya. You and I will go out next week and hurt em :) Just PM me with your choice of M-W-F am and we will go.( CJ can get rough real quick when the wind blows hard.)
