  1. My Girlfriend's family has a cabin on the lake and we're planning on taking the kids out for a few days. I read that the lake is supposed to be good for hybrid bass, but Ive never fished for them before so I have a couple of questions....
    1. Do they bite this time of year or am I waisting time targetting them?
    2. Do you troll for them or can they be caught from shore using lures or live bait under a bobber or tight lining?

    Any suggestions?

They do hit this time of year. When do you plan to go? The lake is WAY up right now from flooding.

You can get them from shore using chicken livers and night crawlers fished from the bottom, as well as lures casted. Best times seem to be early morning or late evening. Below spillway is a good bet also.....and also will produce some good catches of cat and carp.

I personally have not fished for them in 3 years over there, but we used to troll for them regularly, and saw many guys fishing from shore for them with decent luck.
