CC on 6/6

Discussion in 'Southwest Ohio Fishing Reports' started by hunterm, Jun 7, 2007.

  1. Fished with my daughter at CC from 6 to 9 on Weds. Put in at Welman ramp and started out looking for crappie, fishing the deeper outside edges of sunken timber then moving back into shallower water. Evidently the crappie weren't where I was. Neither Jigs or minnows worked. About 8 pm moved over to the "hump" in the south end and started drifting for Saugeye. Using 1/8 oz jigs tipped with minnows and crawlers we managed to get about a dozen small ones, all less than 12". The bite picked up just before sundown and then died just as quickly. All in all a slow night.
  2. My little bro and I fished there tuesday from 7am-4pm. We hit alot of the coves, some of which we only caught bluegills, saugeyes and channels out of, then the next cove was crappie action. We caught everything on minnows in about 6-8 FOW.
