Caught my first Tusc. River wiper

Discussion in 'Northeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by Action, Jul 26, 2004.

  1. Caught a 3 1/2 lb wiper in Dover/Philly area today. I fish the river alot and its the first I know of in this area. Has anyone heard of any wipers from this area before? I lost a good fish that appeared to be a big wiper in the same spot, but couldn't guarantee it.

  2. I talked to a guy the other day who said he caught two last year near Newcomerstown. Other than that, I haven't heard of any.

  3. I know there are alot of them down towards Coshocton, they run up the Walhonding river to six mile dam. I've never heard of any this far north on the river, but I'm sure its not the first. It gives me a good idea where I can find them come late spring though. :D
