Carl Pavano is he the answer?

  1. The Indians signed Carl Pavano today....Lots if incentives but not much money per the WTAM...He had a previous 4 year $40 million contract with the Yankees where he pitched a total of 143 innings....Hopefully we can catch some lightning in a bottle...I'm pretty sure he'll be a bust though....

Hopefully he turn into Kevin Millwood! 2 Million is all he cost, that's not a large contract by today's standards. Let's hope!

  3. It's a very low-risk signing. I love it from the standpoint that it's a 1-year contract that is loaded with incentives (4+ million worth), and he's only costing us 1.5 mil which is not much in comparison to the majority of starters in the league. This guy has all the reason in the world to come into the season as prepared and focused as he can possibly be considering he's playing for his career (with a lot of incentives on top of it). If he does well this year then someone will give him a 3-4 year contract for solid $....if he doesn't then he becomes a bullpen pitcher that makes $500,000 a year while getting tossed around the league.
