Career Change to Mechanic opinions plz

  1. I have been debating this for a while now but thinking now more than ever its time for a change. I currently work in a High Temp Alloy scrap yard sorting materials and it sucks. I have been there 5 years. Originally this job was a temp fix. But turned into more because of getting comfortable and was worried about making a change. I am thinking I want to pursue my first passion which is cars. I know a mechanic is not a glorious position and you can't get rich. I have no formal training but grew up in a family that has raced stock cars for years. Basically grew up in a garage. I do all of my own maintence and minor mods to my vehicles and friends. I tend to catch on quickly when it comes to that kinda of thing also. I was wondering if there was anyone that can lend some opinions on the field and how to get started or if it may even be worth while.

  2. depending on what you want to do I might be able to help you out. pm me and let me know
