car/truck cabin air filters

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by steely123, Jan 21, 2005.

  1. Just found out that my GMC 3/4 ton has two 'cabin' air filters up under the 'kick plate' where the heat/air floor vent is at on the passenger side....

Never knew they were there and at 68,000, they were pretty dirty....

this could cause blower motor failure etc.....

I usually change my own oil but have some back issues right now so had valvoline do it this time....and he just happened to mention it....

he said most people don't know they are there...

  2. most car co's tell you to chng them at 15k miles. They started using them in most cars mid 90's.
