burning cds

Discussion in 'Computing & Gaming Discussions' started by mach1cj, Sep 1, 2007.

  1. i've always been able to burn cd's with no problem. i use record now which came on the machine. its been a while since i burned one. i try to burn one this morning, and everything went as planned. only problem is, it will only "play" on the computer, it won't play in anything else(home&auto)player. i don't have a clue why. thanks:confused:

It could be a setting in the burning program. Look for an option to burn a cd that will play in home/car cd players.

For burning anything, I have to recommend Nero. Cds, DVDs, it doesn't matter, it works great.

  3. If the bit-type is set for cd-r or -rw, then it probably wouldn't play in an older player that doesn't recognize these formats. Is it possible you were changing some settings and changed it? I don't really remember record now at all, but i didn't think you could change that, however.

Try closing the disc (finalize) after writing. There should be a setting for it in your CDR app.
