buoyancy foam

Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by redhotbuzz, Jun 2, 2007.

  1. My new project is a 12 foot Sea King I was wondering if the insulating foam you buy in the cans will work. Any feedback is greatly appreciated ... Thanx

No, it won't. You need the two part stuff.

Actually, it is the same, you just need more of it.

  4. It is not the same. Use the proper materials, which is two part foam.

the insulating foam in cans you get from home depot will breakdown out in the weather. i used it on some cracks i had between the concrete driveway and the block foundation of the house. it didn't last much more than a month.
