Buick Riviera Willows and bass go together like beer and pizza.

I was chomping at the bit all day Sunday to go fishing but the periodic downpours and the green on the radar kept us off the water. Finally, around 4:30 we decide to take off for Portage in the rain. Based on the radar, we were guessing it would stop by the time we got there. Wrong.

We sat in the truck (even took a cat nap) until it finally stopped around 6:40 and we were on the water by 6:50. LOL! Ten minutes later it started pouring again!

We put on the rain suits and had at it. The next 90 minutes were as fast of action as I've had in a while. Four in the boat within 30 minutes and five more over the next hour. I caught 6, the Princess caught 3 with most 2-pounders and a 3-pound kicker. All on 4" finesse worms ripped through the weeds in 10 ft. of water.

We trailered around 8:45 and within seconds of getting in the truck it was one of the biggest cloud bursts I've been in for a while.

Everything is drying and we're feeling good.
