Is it to late to plant buck:!wheat? I plan on putting in a plot and am wondering what is best for this time of year. Where do you buy buckwheat seed in N.E. Ohio area? I do have a bag of Prograze I'm planning on slinging. What do you think?

Well the best time is to put it in durring the spring you get your best results. You can pick the seed up at Clinginsmith's in levitsburgh (sometimes they dont have it though) but Gander Mtn carries seed too.

It really depends on why you’re planting it. If used for a soil builder, it’s planted in the spring and later tilled under. If planting it so it will go to seed, early to mid July is standard. I planted mine mid July. You could probably do okay if you get it in soon, within the week. It really depends on when the first cold nights come, because it’s toast after that. Any feed/seed store should be able to get seed.
I would highly suggest not mixing the Prograze with buckwheat. Keep them separate or skip the buckwheat.
