Buckeye

  1. First trip out this year Started at the main ramp in little buckeye ice 2" fished an hour nothing didn't have that warm fuzzy feeling moved over to fairfield 4" of ice caught 6 decent crappies and 5 cigar eyes

  2. I was out that afternoon, too. Harbor Hills was 5" of clear ice, but the water was a bit muddy. Lost the business end of my auger on 2nd hole :(

    (Now have 100 lb. magnet and ready to retrieve that sucker!)

    Moved to Fairfield Beach where the water was "clear" for Buckeye Lake. My buddy caught a small crappie (8") and I caught a dink saugeye. Pretty slow, but good to be on the ice again.

    Waiting for refreeze (?)--will check the ice today...
