Hit Buckeye tonight for a little carpin action. Water is almost at summer level, the carp where really slow tonight but I did manage a few misses and a lathargic skinny 13 Lber.
Points of interest, there where a lot of Crappie being taken, nothing really large but a lot of them. They where jumping everywhere, I think I saw some white bass in the mix too. A couple of the locals told me the point by the ramps in the Village of Buckeye lake was really producing on the Crappie as well. No word of any Eye's, I saw a few bullheads being caught and heard the normal 15 stories about how Buckeye used to be full of millions of 30+ Lb shovelheads
Top water action and the carp bite seemed to really pick up around 9:30 PM and go on to abou 10:30 - 11:00 PM.
Just an F.Y.I. in case anyone was interested.
