  1. Put in at the Fairfield ramp mid-afternoon and fished until dark. Trolled both Fairfield flats and outside of Templeton Creek with cranks catching only a small striped bass on a silver and blue rat-l-trap. A few other boats around but nobody catching much. Water level still up but great clarity. Any help with the 'eyes would be appreciated.

  2. A buddy and I did allright on the eyes two weeks ago. Really were there for stripers but that didn't pan out. Marked alot of fish but,,,. Eyes where in 10-15 ft water, tight to any structure. Hot pink 1/4oz jig tipped with a crawler.
Couldn't keep the dink channels off them. That lake must be loaded with cats. Sounds interesting! Bonus fish was a 6-4oz bass Tom caught right before we left.

  3. Appreciated hearing about your success with the 'eyes. I may have been too shallow as I was pulling cranks in 10 ft of water or maybe they wanted it alot slower. Good luck with the stripers next time out.
