made up another batch of bread pudding today,and decided to try a different sauce.it won't be found anywhere but here,cause my brain went on a little trip for this one,LOL. 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 stick butter 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1 14 oz. can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk in small pan,heat brown sugar on stovetop with butter.bring to boil,and let cook while stirring,for a couple minutes. remove fro heat.stir in milk and vanilla and pecans. pour over bread pudding while warm. hang on,cause this stuff is ultra rich would also go great over a big bowl of vanilla ice cream this will thicken when cooled.just stick in microwave for 30 seconds to loosen it up again.
