I am just starting to get into the sport of bowfishing, and have an area with alot of regular and grass carp that I will be targeting. I was wondering ethically what is correct, and what everybody does with the fish they shoot, thanks.
we bring a tub and drop the fish off at my grandpas farm, either put them in his garden or in one of their fields. Almost any farmer will lett you put them in their fields as long as it isn't too close to where they live. Smells!
We live in a rural area and know a lot of farmers. We also throw them in fields where we first got permission. Ethically, I don't know how right or wrong it is. They are a non-native species that are over populated so I figure it is just doing the native species a favor. But we are no good at it anyways so we don't get many.
