boat trailer repair

Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by hunt for bass, Mar 24, 2005.

  1. Is it better to use stainless steel or galvanized for the nuts and bolts on the trailer. I've been told both, What does anyone else think? Thanks for any info.

Both will work fine, Stainless is more expensive but will out last Galvanized. If you can afford stainless go that route.

Do not use stainless for any high stress areas. Its sheer strength is very low.
