Boat needs Trim-Tabs: What about those spring loaded ones

Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by COmmodore 64, Sep 28, 2007.

  1. My dad recently bought a 19-foot Trophy Dual console boat...and it needs trim tabs pretty bad. My dad is not a big fan of hydraulic trim tabs, and would prefer something like the sidewinder missile of trim-tabs (fire and forget). Are those spring loaded tabs any good?

They're called "SmartTabs". Don't leave home without them.

    For some more info: http://forums.iboats.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11&order=desc
    Search "SmartTabs"

I got them, Ezbite has them, Rippin Lip has them and I'm sure a few others.
