Me and a buddy hit a local pond and fished a spot that was clear of ice. Caught about 75 bluegills in an hour, but nothing of any size. Little hooks and little pieces of worms. We stayed busy till we got cold and left.

    Hey Neocats,
Yep, best kept secret, they've been biting all winter...it's a Rule #1 kind of thing...("If you aren't out there you don't catch them!") I took 27 Monday and more than twenty yesterday in a bit over your time frame...no cabin fever here...my greatest expectation, catching a few fish, has been met, (LOL)...you are right, I haven't seen any giants, but 7-8" fish are still fun on light tackle. In a few places I know that pretty well keep some open water, I've been steady catching fish all winter.
    Good Fishing,
