Bluegill jerky

  1. I was given a piece of bluegill jerky at a recent club meeting and it tasted great. Anyone else do this? I might try it this summer. I didn't have time to get the full recipe, but it was marinated in teriaki mixture overnight and the put in a dehydrater.
  2. Just use anything you would want to make beef jerky with, a little liquid smoke is always good. I have made it a few times and has turned out pretty good. If you dry it too long it will get really tough, even tougher than what beef or venison would get. Let us know how it turns out.

  3. I'll give it a try this summer when I catch a bunch of bluegills. It seems that there is no end to what you can do with a dehydrator.
