Just heard on the radio. One of the best, maybe THE best football mind of all time.
Wow!! That is a shocker. I didn't even know he was in bad health if in fact he was. I checked the ESPN web site and not much was on there as of yet, just that was 75 years old and survived by his wife and 2 children.
You are right that he was a great coaching mind and very well regarded in the NFL community.
Lukemia, said his son died at the age of 46 with it also in 2004. RIP.
Rest In Peace Bill. You brought some class to coaching position and should always be reguarded as one of the greats.
