Best Musky Lake/Time?

  1. Got a question that I hope some of the musky junkies on this sight can help me with. I'm curious what would be the best musky lake in Ohio and where would salt fork rank on that list. Also, what is typically the best month for size and/or numbers, or would that "best month" vary from lake to lake. I've got a boat and it is well equipped for trolling or casting(spend lots of time at Erie). I have never musky fished or ever caught a musky but would love to give it a try. Thanks
  2. Leesville is #1 in the state for sheer numbers... Salt fork is in the top 3 or 4 along with West Branch (memory!?)
Fall is a good time for trophy lunges cause they are trying to fattin up before winter. I don't know exactly when the fall bite turns on in Ohio- I'm usually chasing deer, but this year I may try a couple Oct trips. Try OHMC (Ohio Huskie Muskie Club) website- they have alot of catch/month stats.
