Alum Creek
July, 53 caught 35.57% of total caught in 2003
August, 33 caught 22.15% of total caught in 2003
That’s 57.72% were caught in these two months.

Clear Fork
June, 96 caught 30.48% of total caught in 2003
Oct.73 caught 23.15% of total caught in 2003
That’s 53.63% were caught in these two months

Lake Milton
August, 59 caught 43.70% of total caught in 2003
July, 51 caught 37.78% of total caught in 2003
That’s 81.48% were caught in these two months

Leesville Lake
July, 143 caught 27.08% of total caught in 2003
June, 121 caught 22.92% of total caught in 2003
That’s 50.00% were caught in these two months

Pymatuning Lake
May, 66 caught 52.38% of total caught in 2003
April, 20 caught 15.87% of total caught in 2003
That’s 68.25% were caught in these two months

Salt Fork Lake
July, 45 caught 35.94% of total caught in 2003
June, 30 caught 23.44% of total caught in 2003
That’s 59.38% were caught in these two months.

West Branch
June, 47 caught 32.87% of total caught in 2003
May, 25 caught 17.48% of total caught in 2003
That’s 50.35% were caught in these two months.

Peidmont Lake only had 38 turned in and the best month was June with 13 caught

This may help you when planning at muskie catching trip.

I was going to take a stab at it and say July and August. I wouldn't have been to far off base :) All you musky men out there, what lake do you rate #1 in our state. I've often heard it is Leesville, but reports out of Alum are getting better and better, are they not? THE CATKING !!!

Great info!

I have been wanting to give muskie hunting a shot this year. That is very interesting info. I am going to get me one this summer.:)

You can add this to the data. Whatever month I catch my next muskie in will be the month where 100% of my catches came from.:D

statistically, Leesville is #1 and Clear Fork is #2
these lakes give up more lunge than any others in the state. Mainly good numbers in these lakes with a decent population of big'uns.
For trophy class musky, Piedmont and Salt Fork might be better.
