Me and the lady spent a fortune on our mattress set about 6 years ago. Its some type of Sealy pillow-top BS. We liked how it felt at the store and liked it for a couple of months after we got it home, but after a while I noticed id wake up with a sore back and feeling like complete crap. It just keeps getting worse. Ive got degenerative disc disease and chronic arthritis in my lower back. Its sad to say but some nights ill go blow up our coleman air mattress and sleep on it and i wake up feeling incredible with hardly any back pain. As tempting as it sounds to pitch a tent in the back yard and sleep on the coleman, i think im goona have to look for a more permanent option soon. Any suggestions?

and I'm good now. Even take one when we travel, if possible.
Like sleeping on a cloud.

Bought ours a couple years ago for about 3000. Didn't get every available option. They do get pricy with all the bells and whistles.

You want an all latex bed
They are a lil pricey around 2000
But we'll worth every penny problem is nobody in this area sells them you have to buy them pretty much mail order
You have to buy the firmness level best for your needs what type of sleeper ...back, side, stomach...and you can buy them with split mattresses to adjust between you and your significant other..
Mine has 4 layers all different firmness levels that are 3 inches thick so my mattress is roughly 13 inches deep once you add the 1 inch for the mattress cover on top
They are designed to keep your spine aligned as you sleep which is why you need to tell them your sleeping type/ style
Research them online there's a ton of info on them
I went to a mattress place about 30 years ago
Guy asked me what I was looking for I told him idk but I sleep like a rock whenever I'm on my couch if you have something that's like that show me....he pointed and said you want that right there...a latex bed...I bought that one and it lasted over 20 years...then needed a bed after my divorce bought a memory foam bed thought foam is foam right???
WRONG!!!!!! Totally different thing...so just got my new one fed exed this past weekend

I use one of these and sleep like a little baby. I have scoliosis to the point of my spine kicking out 50 degrees in my lower back. If for what ever reason I'm away or can't sleep on it, I cry like a little baby.

Foam Mattress (Bag in Box) purchased at Costco. Excellent selection with unmatched return policy if it doesn't work for you. Novaform has worked out good for us but they carry other brands and a wide assortment as well. Also suggest doing some research on manufacturer's websites to hone in on the right mattress for your needs and how you sleep (back vs. side vs. stomach) and/or Consumer Reports for some unbiased data on comparisons. Good sleep is critical for good health! Good Luck!

I have back issues, sciatic and artho as well. Im in need of a new mattress with next years tax money.

However, i cant stand memory foam. Im a side sleeper. With memory foam i feel like im sunk down and stuck between two walls and cant turn or move. Then i feel like ive lost circulation on the side im laying on and feel like i got a kink in my back. Also legs do not sink as much as my torso by as much as a foot on several ones ive had to lay in traveling.

I truly enjoy my Original Mattress Factory semi-firm w/the adjustable frame. 8 hours of solid sleep is realistic and back pain gone gone gone. Your results may vary but they make a high quality product here in Ohio.

They're not all memory foam and like traditional mattresses there's a range of firmness based on your preferences. You'll be quite surprised! one benefit of foam mattress is your arms won't fall asleep (go numb) if you sleep on your side on your arm! Costco has a Novaform on sale now less than $500 gets you a fairly firm mattress - been using it for several years and been very happy with it. Look for one with cooling or you may need to put a wool (yes real wool) mattress pad on it to keep you from sweating - if you have that issue with the mattress. Again - full refund when purchased from Costco if you don't like it - most stores also have trial periods. They also sell many other brands including Casper, sleep science and all the other well known manufacturers.

didnt know they made a firm foam. I used to like a firm but its too hard now and need a slightly softer bed. My wife would love the cooling at her hot flash stage age,,,,but i would be the one with a wool blanket.

Have you tried sleeping in a recliner? So not flat, makes a big difference for me.
I was a side sleeper, had to roll onto the floor in the morning, then pull myself upright by grabbing the bed for support! Went to back specialist said I had three major things wrong with my lower back ~15 yrs ago. They pushed surgery hard! Told them I’d think abt it! I tried Vitamin B Complex otc supplement daily(still taking), and bought a Lazy Boy recliner(my first of 3!) It worked like a “lift chair” with the lever on side to get me upright. Now sleep on my back in living room. After 3-4 weeks, back’s been good ever since!
