Berlin Lake Report

Discussion in 'Northeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by Jaywire, Apr 20, 2008.

  1. Fished Berlin off of the Price Rd bridge yesterday. Between 7AM and 4PM only got bites. About 5PM though, cats started biting. Then at about 6 we got about 3 keeper white bass, 2 keeper cats and about 6 keeper crappies. There were a few other people there who had at least 20 slabs between them all. About 9PM the crappie just STOPPED biting like, instantly. Weird! Then it started to rain extremely hard, so we left. Another guy that was there, he caught a bunch of bass and catfish. He was there as long as us!

Even though we were out there all day with no bites until we were about to leave, it was fun. Sitting there with friends an a couple brewskies, that water was so calm, it was very relaxing. But as always, when fishing Berlin, "I wanted to go FISHING not ROCK CLIMBING!" :p tight lines everyone!
  2. Sweet! I haven't had a chance to get out yet this year, but should have some time this week. Thanks for the report!

  3. Hit berlin friday noon-6pm. First voyage this yr...great to just be back on the water. Crappie were hard to find but ended with 4 including one over 13". Caught all on minnows about 4-5' down in 6-8 fow outside deadfalls. Slow bite ....but decent size.

    Good safe out there.
