Bent Boat Railer Tounge

  1. My buddy over the past weekend bent the tounge on my boat tailer. Long story bout how he did it, but anyways whats the best way to straighten it out?
  2. Have your buddy hook it up to the truck and jack knife it in the opposite direction this time. It's hell on step bumpers and quarter panels but it'll work.

On a more serious note...check with a local frame shop. They may be able to make that happen for ya.

  3. cut it off, have shop weld new one on , they can put a sleave inside the old one and weld them back together will be stronger than the old one.
  4. Depending on where it bent, it might be easier to install a swing away tongue kit. They sell them now that require no welding.

Otherwise call a local fab shop to cut and weld in a new piece. You will likely never straighten it completely without wrinkles.
