Bass slam

Discussion in 'Northeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by Bdrape, Jul 16, 2007.

  1. I was down at Pleasant Hill lake this weekend and found a stream nearby to wade. Caught many largemouth, a few smallmouth a rockbass and what I believe was a wiper. Had the place to myself and everything caught on a tiny 1/8 oz buzzbait. This has got to be some kind of bass slam don't you think. ha ha.

Walleye x Stripe Bass = Wiper (I think)

  6. The wiper certainly had an attitude. The strike was real aggressive and he did not want to come in.

The wiper bite is usually really good this time of year at charles mill. We usually just cruse around the lake looking for em bustin shad on the surface. We use chicken liver on bottom or even under a bobber. hang on to your rods or you'll be buying new ones.
