Nice one! 3 days ago I went bluegill fishing and caught a 10" bass on a waxworm and bobber. Needless to say i switched to a rooster tail and started bass fishing. Caught 3 more between 10-14" in an hour or so.
So far this year my little boy who's 3 has landed roughly 6 keeper size(9'') crappie on waxworms while fishing for gills at CJ. He woulda had a 2lb Channel Cat as well but the line broke as we was lifting it outta the water in the marina. Fish are gonna try to eat whatever comes their way whether it be tiny or a bit oversized(in some cases when you catch something that's smaller than what you're using and has no possible way of swallowing it). I've caught quite a few cats on waxworms in the past and it always amazed me when doing so.
Hey you gotta love those Bass Magic swimbaits,I've done well with them in the past few years but really haven't fished them too much this year. I might have to bust 'em out and see what happens. Have you tried them on any larger sized bodies of water yet like CJ?(Well other than Clark Lake)
