Went out of Avon today with a friend of mine for his first time fishing on lake erie, and fairly new to fishing overall. Picked up some frozen shiners from erie outfitters and headed due north of the stacks put 20 in the box in about 1.5 hrs then they just shut off--im one for moving frequently when perching if they stop biting, may have been a bad idea today probably should have stayed were we were as we only ended up with another 15 over the last 3 hours of our day on the water.

We are having the same type of bite @ the west end of the lake. A lot of trash fish and few perch. About a month ago the perch were jumping into the boat, went out last Sunday and caught about 100 white perch and only 8 yellow perch.
