Headed up to bula from Medina on Thursday. Wave report 1-3. Got an unnerving feeling when I pulled into the marina. There was not one boat in the lot, waves crashing over the wall and the flag was nearly ripping from the pole. I decided to give it a try anyway??? Waves were an easy 4-6 and it took me over 2 hrs to get out to the 9 line straight north. It was safe, just slow! Made one long south troll. Picked up two eyes immediately and was thinking it was worth it. Hit another two around the 6 line and one more around the 4 line. All dipseys and spoons and all in the 7-9 lb range. I marked fish the entire time. Caught tons of white bass along the way which were a pain dealing with when you can hardly stand up. Around the 1 line, we pulled in 8 big jumbo perch while trolling spoons, kept those. Was happy with 5 eyes considering the conditions.
