well going to try to put my first Walleye in my boat form Erie. This will be my 2ed time to go there with my boat (140 miles drive) last time i got 2 steelies but no Walleyes:mad: . I have a small boat 17.5 foot 90hp with A 9.9 kicker so I hope to not run all over the lake to fine that first Walleye.
I will be fishing by myself so I will not take all the fish out of the lake:D just do not wish to get :S this time wife will never let me forget it.

so if someone could pm me with what to try or just a good luck would maybe help. I have dipsy's and last time went out from the 02 to the 09 mark. If you will be out there i will be on CH 68 or 14 in a tan manark 1750 king say hi.

You might want to check the forecast. Looks like its going to be rough
You ain't kidding.

Time4Fishing, you may want to re-think your plans:
.TONIGHT...NORTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 25 KNOTS BECOMING EAST 10 TO
20 KNOTS. WAVES 5 TO 7 FEET SUBSIDING TO 4 TO 6 FEET.
.THURSDAY...SOUTHEAST WINDS 10 TO 15 KNOTS BECOMING EAST. WAVES
3 TO 5 FEET SUBSIDING TO 2 TO 4 FEET.

I wouldn't be caught out there in that mess with a 17.5 foot boat. Besides, the fish will be scattered after seas like that. And that will make for some tough fishing. IMHO. Save it for a better day.

but you all say they never get it right :(

I may need to move to sunday. I may have to tie myself down I was looking forward to going but with my boat I dont wish to put it in over 1 to 3s .

as a retired US Army guy its hard for me to back down from a fight but Erie has a hell of a right hook.

Yes we do say that a lot  But I would really hate for you to drive all that way just to turn around for a long ride back home. Or worse see you get in a swirl of waves that your boat cannot handle. Wise move to wait it out!

I know it sucks. I have a 21 and I'm not going up this weekend. This would have been my last trip planned for the year. I usually have it winterized the first week of October. I may have to revisit the idea and wait for a couple of perch trips before I get it done.

Try these two sites. They are the wind speed indicators.

Also try this out. You can listen to the NOAA live radio weather reports. Click on live streaming audio and I listen to the Erie Pa report.

Check out the live feed webcam, located in Willowick, on the lake. The basic address is GreatLakesVistaLakeErieWebCam. Click on the live feed. I think you will find that it is one of the best live feed cameras that shows lake conditions in real time.
