are salmon eggs good for anything other than trout?

I've got about 3 or 4 jars of salmon egs (Pautzke's green label balls o fire salmon eggs, Pete's famous trout ticklers) from when I did a little trout fishing in Cali. I don't see myself doing any in ohio and was wondering if these are good for other species of fish (bluegill, catfish, etc) or if you had any ideas of how I could use them (mash them up with other stuff for catfish bait?). I know I should have probably just tried before posting here but I never have them with me and am curious what ideas you have. thanks!

    Mix em in your boilies...mmmm.

  3. When we lived out west and then moved back to Ohio, we used the salmon eggs for bluegills. Both out in Arizona and here in Ohio.

I know it's not as romantic as fishing in a remote stream in the mountains, but a trout is a trout for the most part and there are tout to be found in Ohio. Lakes and rivers. The salmon eggs will work here in Ohio too. The Mad River near Bellfountain and Antrim Lake in Columbus are just a couple of places. -Hooch-
