Anyone know what a pin key switch harness is ?

  1. I have a 2005 9.9 mercury on my boat. I am going to get a 2008 25hp mercury and put it on myself I called Mercury they said that all the controls would work except the Pin key switch harness different anyone know what that is . Thanks for any help
     
  2. ohio buck, i did a search on google and a wire harness for a key switch came up!

    Not sure but I believe it is a wire harness. One end has the key and ignition (how you start your boat), and the other end has plug in connector of some sort. The pins are the number of pins inside the connector. You probably have a 7 pin or something like that, you need maybe a 10 pin. Like I said, not sure. Google mercury key switch harness and see what comes up.
