anyone have a ICOM MARINE RADIO?

    is anyone here useing a ICOM marine radio on their boat out on erie and if so how do u like it? i am getting my 16 ftr boat this weekend and i just bought a used ICOM IC-402 marine radio off of ebay it is suppose to be 25 watts from what i have read. is this radio going to be ok or did i just buy a radio im not going to like. thanks for any help
    and may i ask what are u talking about when u say u have a radio with dsc? thanks

    not sure about the model and features .but the 25 watts of power is standard. as long as it works then it will be fine.

    You will like it...I have a ICOM M304 and it works great...as far as signal in/out, it is largely affected by the type of antenna you use...I have a Shakespeare Galaxy 5225 8' and it certainly makes a difference transmitting/receiving. Make sure all connections are clean and secure and you should be good to go.
