Any One Use Catalpa Worms?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by wackyworm, Aug 20, 2004.

  1. Not seen much discussion about Catalpa worms and was wondering what experience anyone has had with them. Always heard they were good catfish bait, never used them though. I have quite a few trees on my property and they have completly stripped 2 in my front yard and working on a third, then I have numerous more around but don't really pay attention to those, because I don't walk by them every day. Just wondering. Read online that they can be frozen and will revieve, thought that was kind of cool.
  2. Yep, I have used Catalpa worms for bait. I have caught Cats and LM Bass on them.
About every catalpa tree in the small town I live in has them on it. Them little things sure can eat.

Split the worm down the back and turn it inside out before you put it on a hook.
