Not getting spark in either cylinder of my 35hp Merc. I put in a new switchbox as well as a used stator. Still no spark. Anybody have any ideas?????

Have you checked the coils? If you have them, also make sure the wiring is good. By any chance do you have a kill switch on the motor? If you do make sure it is not tripped. If it is you won't get any spark.

I knew the kill switch was on right because I checked it. Funny thing is I had not checked it since I put the new parts on and my son was playing in the boat while I was doing it. Even though it is after midnight I just had to check. Sure enough the lanyard was sitting in the middle of the boat. (Darn kids, LOL) I hooked it up and it started on the first crank. It scared my wife half to death and I got in trouble, but it was worth it. Thanks Dale, DAVE.
