Ameristep deer cart

  1. Well I just received an Ameristep "nontypical deer" model 7800 deer cart for a gift. Has anybody used this model and what do you think of it? I haven't put it together yet but it seems like a good heavy duty piece of equipment.

  2. You'll ask yourself why you didn't get one sooner. I own an all aluminum cart, bought it 4 or 5 years ago at Cabelas. I've used others made of steel. Doesn't make much difference, they're all great. For best results, figure out what end of the deer will ride facing back. Dependent where the axle/wheels are placed on the cart. For me, I get better balance with the rump towards the back for a bigger deer. A small to medium size deer, it may not make much difference.

It also makes it easier to transport stands, corn, apples, etc out into the field.
