Took the boat out to alum today. It was killing me i just had to take it out. Water temps were 38 to 39 degrees all over the lake. Didn't catch anything but it was nice to take the boat out for the first time. The water was kinda murky for alum.

the lake has been at those temps and clarity for around a month now. dont know if it will clear up but if we get some sun maybe it will warm up.

  3. I was out on Alum this afternoon (Thursday). Temps were 38-39 in the southern part of the lake, but I found temps as high as 42 up north. Spent most of my time checking boat and electronics-related stuff -- first time on the water this year for me. So, I didn't spend too much time casting, so no surprise I didn't get any bites. Did see several other boats on the water and even more trailers in the parking lots, but didn't come across anyone who appeared to be catching anything. It does seem like the season is about here, though, even with temps in the 40s...
