I trolled Alum for a few hours Sunday morning, as shallow as possible, and had 1 on. Got it in beside the boat and it took one last leap and spit the lure. It looked to be 35 - 38" and he was THICK. It bit on a J13 Rapala, black and silver, in about 8' of water. It sure felt great to feel that rod pulling down. I'll be back in the morning!!!

what was the water temp and clarity like ? Guessing the clarity has improved greatly in the last couple weeks if the fish hit a black and silver lure.
I'll be out there this weekend.

From what I saw last Saturday Alum was still very very brown. I only crossed St Rt 36 so I didn't see the lower end, but I got a good look at that on Thursday 4/26/07 and it was a mess! With fair weather this weekend might be good. I gotta believe the fish are gonna be shallow.

Fished Alum yesterday from 3-8pm with no results.
Water was clearing up and temps were around 70.
