  1. The wife and I fished Alum last night from 6-10pm. Found some saugeyes on a flat about 6 ft deep. Caught around 6 that I would call keepers, even though I didn't keep any. The biggest was 19 inches, the rest were right around 15 inches. Most were caught on jigs and twister tails tipped with leeches, but I caught one on a rattletrap and lost another on a vib'e. Also caught two 12" lm bass one of which jumped a good 3 feet out of the water, two times. Never had a lm bass jump that high! He hit on the vib'e the other bass hit on a white x-rap. Lightning to the north chased us off the water at 10, I think we could have caught several more if we had stayed because the bite had picked up the last 30 minutes we were there.
  2. That sounds more like what a smallmouth would do.... I've seen them jump real high.... Sounds like had a good time.....
