Alum Creek Spillway Action

Discussion in 'Central Ohio Fishing Reports' started by Benjammin, Oct 9, 2008.

  1. Went there the other morning and landed a 30 " Musky on a Rapala X-Rap Slashbait. Scared the **** out of me when it jumped!!:p

One of my buddies then told me that the Muskies really go crazy there when they let the water out. Does anyone know a website that has the scheduled water release below the dam? (I assume most times are in the Spring)

Also, I have always wondered how deep it gets where those pillars are right at the bottom of the dam.. Anybody have any ideas?

Congratulations! I'm heading up there tomorrow, and I've been wondering how I might target myself a muskie or two (throwing raps and mepps, of course :)) and some saugeye. I've been fishing alum for weeks.... ZERO saugeye. I don't know how to do it, I guess. Caught one accidentally in june while bass fishing, and now I can't replicate it to save my life, which is a shame because they're a blast!

Pfft! Everybody knows you cant catch muskie on purpose.

You don't choose muskie.... muskie choose you.
