Going to alum creek for first time in couple years looking for crappie any suggestion what pool to start in I'm going get me some minnows any help would be great

I don't crappie fish it often but from what I've heard middle pool is probably where I would start. If you're in a kayak or anything small I'd avoid the south pool especially on weekends.

Crappie fishing is good in all pools. South pool target timber in coves on either side. Middle pool Big Run is best area. North pool hit banks on either side around fallen timber. Start shallow, if no luck start moving out a little deeper until you find what depth they’re holding!
