Has anyone put in off of main street and paddled upstream? The water looks pretty flat and looks like it would not be to hard to head upstream to look for some holes. Has anyone had any luck in that area and or is it worth giving it a try?

Most people are pretty guarded on here about their fishing spots....you probably won't get much response. I would say check it out on Google maps and if that looks good and the put-in looks good give it a shot. Only downside is that you scratch it off the list of places you want to try to fish!

I was not looking for any secret fishing spots, just trying to get some info on the creek and the put in.

You can put in at the park there the path goes right down to the water. It's slow moving because of the low head dam just south of there. The area by the bridge on Main Street seems shallow but up stream it is anyone's guess. It runs up to near where county line crosses the creek a mile or so up then turns back into a creek. I would love to hear how you do.

Try it, and if you have good luck, keep it to yourself. I did a little exploring above the reservoir years ago and didn't catch much. There were some decent looking spots.

I've done it a few times. Don't bother going further north than county line rd though. It gets really shallow.
