Alum and Hoover spillway 2/14

Discussion in 'Central Ohio Fishing Reports' started by bluufrdtrk, Feb 14, 2005.

  1. Only fished hoover for about 15 minutes and didnt do any good so I went to alum before it got dark. Water was down below the sidewalk, I fished where the first steps are by the bridge . As soon as it got dark i hooked 4 fish and landed one. All bites came on silver/black husky jerk fished very slow, and all bites came in about a 1/2 hr period when the sun was going down. The one i caught was 18 inches long.

What kind of fish was it? A muskie or a saugeye? Just curious...

"all bites came in about a 1/2 hr period when the sun was going down"...same here...I fished for about 3 hours on Saturday and 3 hours on Sunday...And didn't catch a thing untill 5:15....Then the eye's came on like wildfire.
  4. It was a suageye.(tasty at that)
That is the key i think, I was going to head up their tonight but decided not to cause it was going to be to late of a start, but i should be up there at least one evening this week, hopefully during that prime time.
