Alum 10-29-08

  1. Inspired by the "New Alum Technique" I left the boat at home and fished a point at Alum this afternoon from 12:30 - 3:00. I tightlined bass minnows on the bottom with one rod, while casting a vibee with another rod. I ended up with 5 decent (3-5 lbs) catfish on the minnows and one surprise muskie on the vibee - all released. I also saw the first Bald Eagle I've ever seen at Alum Creek. No saugeye, but all in all a decent day. :)

  2. Nice catch. Yeah, that ying6 is a regular pied piper. I was thinking of doing the same. Half the battle with me is just getting the rods rigged up and leaving them in the truck.

  3. Sounds like a Good day fishing. I am encouraged by your results. The bald eagle would sure be a nice bonus. Nice going today.

I think Friday I am heading out that way.

Thank you for the report Playbuoy.
