Ah, the irony

  1. This has been my first year bowhunting. I managed to harvest 2 nice does. Around 110 lbs in the freezer. I have spent the season maintaing a feeder in hopes of getting "The Big One". I saw all 10 pts of him during the 2nd week of the season. My hopes had been high due to fact of vacations and holidays and was able to get in the stand many times.
The irony comes now. The land I hunt is my father-in-laws. He called the other night and says "Guess who I just saw in the front yard". The front yard is 300 yds away from the nearest tree and my feeder and right next to the road. The place where I work is moving me to dayshift this last week of the month. Now i have to contend with the feeling of knowing MY buck is walking around in peoples yards while I have to work from 7am to 5pm. I feel a couple sick days comin on quick.
