I will be HOG hunting at AEP in the last week of April. Im not interested in quantity, I just want to catch (and release) a few BIG bass. What are your early spring BIG AEP bass lures? Thanks!
3.5" jointed rebel minnow in golden shiner. I know its a small lure but I have caught some huge bass on it. I was fishing over there once and caught a few golden shinners while bluegill fishing so I looked in my tackle box found that rebel minnow and started using it and caught tons of bass. The biggest one I got was 22.5 inches, not sure on weight but I would guess 6 pounds or so.
watch out for all the turkey hunters and stay out if the woods during the mornings is a good idea... I'll be there too
