8 Weeks Old

  1. Christmas dinner has been aging for 8 weeks. This is the finished product. Yeild grade choice number 3 prime rib. Its ready to go.

    i see you have the grinder ready to go.that should make some great burgers:D:D

    btw,6 weeks seems extreme.i think most places typically age for about 3 weeks max.tenderness and flavor supposedly have reached their peak by then.

    ps...........it does look awfully good:)

Steak burgers tonite.Grill about ready,cold beer flowin.Misfit Bye the time I get my beef in it has about 3 weeks age on it.What I do is block the fore,leave the cap on it for about another 4-5 weeks.Gets all moldy.A whole prime rib is 7 ribs,when I block the fore I leave 8 ribs,# 1 and #8 end up in the steak burgers.
