Launched through the driftwood at Hotwaters at 6:30am before they cleaned it up and headed solo for the Vermillion weather buoy. Set up a RR with 2 oz weight on a 6' leader and a standard worm harness with purple/pink/silver back #5 Colorado and 3 oz weight 70 ft back, topped off with inline planer boards. Found a couple pods of hungry walleye and put 6 in the cooler by a little after 9am. Discontinued RR as worm was king, reeling in medium to large sheephead, large white bass, more walleye, and not a single white perch. Around noon my arms were tired from the heavy bite so I ran back to Hotwaters to get my fish cleaned and got home by 2. Out of the office and a great day of fishing, life is good. What a great lake.
